Win the Grand Designs Cheltenham House |
It followed the couple as they extended their home by 60% under their garden to create a new 3 bedroom home. 6 months after completing the work at a cost of £344,000, the couple have decided to give away the property - now valued at £745,000- in a house competition. The total value of the top prize is £850,000. Originally, the competition required players to answer a simple question on the Cheltenham Cup. However, the competition was restructured into a "Spot the Frisbee" competition. This requires players to designate where they think the centre of a frisbee should be on a photo, after it has been digitally erased from the picture. The person whose answer is closest to the judges' decision wins the top prize. This win a house competition supports Teenage Cancer Trust, with 10% of each ticket donated to the charity. Type: Spot the Ball (Paid) Ticket Price: £25 Estimated Value: £850,000 Total Tickets: 49,000 Location: Cheltenham, United Kingdom Ends: 19 March 2009 Competition OutcomeAfter selling a total of 5,706 tickets, the details of the winner were announced at the start of April 2009. Christine Evelen, 38 years old from London, won the top prize of £83,000 in cash. In the process, a total of £14,500 was raised for Teenage Cancer Trust.
