Gambling Commission

Gambling Commission

The Gambling Commission is charged with regulating different forms of gambling in the UK. Set up under the Gambling Act 2005, it became fully responsible for overseeing these activities in 2007. As part of its duties, it also focuses on ensuring lotteries and raffles are organised in accordance with its guidelines. By implication, this also means looking at house competitions to understand whether or not they could be considered as illegal lotteries, as opposed to prize competitions. Here you'll find all blog posts related to the Gambling Commission.
