Oldborough Retreat Devon competition won by German

The winner of the win a Devon property with fishing competition has finally been announced. 36-year old Christoph Jaeger from Hamburg won the £1 million property called "Oldborough Retreat" with ticket number OR91897.

According to the latest post on the Oldborough Retreat website, the winning ticket, which was drawn on Tuesday in Exeter, this brings what has turned out to be a "long and eventful journey" to an end for Brian and Wendy Wilshaw.

The winner of the 5-bedroom, 11-acre Devon estate bought a £25 for a one in 46,000 chance of winning the property prize. After over six months of discussions with the Gambling Commission, the couple were finally given the go ahead to carry out the draw to its conclusion.

Congratulations to Christoph Jaeger and to the Wilshaws for a fantastic result all round!
